I'm trying to get the Appstore application but its not going anywhere, i did do a software update but its not puffing anything up.

I'm using a new macbook pro with Snow Leopard (late 2010). And it should just be downloadable on the website, but unless i totally missed it isn't.

It should have come with the 10.6.6 update and installed on your dock automatically without you needing to download

You've checked your Applications folder I presume
Not being smart here, just not understanding (along with you) why it isn't present

Did you clicked on Apple icon on the left corner? There should be App Store section here. I think you cannot just download a .dmg file to install App store because i requires a system app (which you already did)

Thanks, that díd work. However now i'm sitting here with another problem.

I can't login with my apple ID. The popup window isn't working properly, and i can't fill in the fields (id - pass). Anyone experiencing the same problem?
