AppZapper alternative?

AppZapper seems likes it's abandoned. I don't want to use CleanMyMac as it is so bloated. Is there any other good uninstaller out there or is there even a need for one on MacOS?

App Cleaner does exactly the same thing! Been using it for years. And yeah, I do find it useful on MacOS because just deleting an app often leaves behind a ton of junk.

Abandoned? I just updated AppZapper and used it an hour ago on my Intel Mac Mini running Big Sur. Works just fine for me.

I could've sworn it was on v2.03 for more than a year. I'll try App Cleaner

I would be interested to see the difference between AppZapper and AppCleaner … see if one removes more files than the other.

"Not updated recently" does not mean "abandoned."

It's a simple program that does a simple thing exceptionally well.

I've used it since I had my first iBook and it has never failed to get rid of what I need it to get rid of.

AppZapper has fallen so far behind with locating items that modern macOS generates -- Here's AppZapper , AppCleaner and TrashMe3 (that I usually use for cleaning) AppCleaner is still a good solution, but AppZapper lives on in the Delicious Generation still, but doesn't do well today. Remember that term, Delicious Generation (of apps) ?

You'll see that AppZapper finds one piece of Boxer.app items, but then AppCleaner and TrashMe3 finds the same second item
