April 1 Ship Estimates are being "Prepared for Shipment"

so glad to see this !!

i checked though and my white 16gb wifi engraved, is still not yet shipped (ordered 4pm eastern)

maybe the damn engraving is my hitch.. any of you guys have engraved units for April 1 prepared for shipment?

Looks like that's the case. I ordered two ATT 32GBs in black at 9pm Pacific on 3/11 and the one without the engraving is now, as of this evening, listed as "Prepared for Shipment" whereas the personalized one (the one I need to arrive before my wife's birthday on 4/1!) is not.

Hopefully there won't be too much lag, though.

So how long does it take to go from prepared for shipment to shipped? Mine is prepared for shipment as well, but the arrival date is still April 6...

Now things are just getting crazy. I posted earlier today that my 4/1 ship order is now "Prepared for Shipment." Well, it seems that my RED Smart Cover - originally set to ship on 4/8 - has just changed to "Prepared for Shipment" in the last 30 minutes (12AM PST).

Am I excited, MAYBE! Who knows how long the "Prepared for Shipment" will take to place in a box with some tape - i.e. "Shipped." Appendages crossed...

I'll answer my own question...30 minutes! I just received my shipping info! Original arrival date was 4/6, Apple shipment notification says 3/28, Fedex tracking number says 3/29. Either way, Great Job Apple!!!!
 
Hm, my credit card (Amex) no longer shows a pending charge (had previously showed a $1 charge and a $770 charge or so for the 64 gb wifi). But there's no actual charge on the account anyway... wonder if this is good news (in preparations for shipment), bad news (card declined, though amex web site says it would approve a $800 charge), or no news (pending charge only lasts for X number of days)...
 
FINALLY, a useful thread on this board. :)

Now thanks to the news posted by others here, I'll be OCD all day hitting refresh on my browswer hoping for a status change. I'm too in the April 1 boat, but mine is engraved. I hope that doesn't delay it further:

I never even thought to look at the "blue bar" this morning until I read this thread....dates still say Ships 1 Apr, Arrives 6 Apr, but the blue bar now says "Prepared for Shipment" - NICE!
 
Mine still says not yet shipped and I have an April 1 ship date. I ordered the 16gb wifi black, with no engraving. However, it always takes Apple extra time to get to my orders, and they always come the same time as everyone else's, so still got my hopes up. Would love to have it early! But as long as its not late, I'll be happy.

I hesitated on the 12th as well and ended up in the 3-4 week group. But this news of the April 1st group getting updated already is promising.
 
I had an April 1 ship date. I just got notice this morning that mine has shipped via FedEx and it is expected to get here on Monday.

Looks like going to bed was the trick after all. Woke up this morning, checked my status, & I am prepared for shipment! Here's hoping that I get my iPad before the end of the month.

So I am in the April 1st group and my 32GB White WiFi is now prepared for shipment. I also ordered a dock for it and it is still showing "Not Yet Shipped". Has anyone that ordered a dock have it ship yet?
