April 2011 Desktops

Gone for real simple uncluttered theme at the moment. No dock, using Alfred App (great app!) for all application opening/switching etc, and finally starting to memorise keyboard shortcuts for everything. I've found navigating my way round the system MUCH quicker once I did this. To avoid clutter I've started to use Command-H on windows that I'm not currently working in, and command-tab to switch, rather than previously minimizing to the dock.

Usually 2560x1440 but I think tinypic reduces it for some reason.

Not really a fan of her's, just thought the pic was cool haha

It's this one from Deviantart. I was so happy when I found it, but it turns out the it makes a 100px region around the Dock (to the left, right and centre) completely unusable. Neither the mouse or two finger scrolling works in that region, but I didn't know it was the dock causing that at the time.

I've now settled on this:

Not very Tiger-ish, but it looks alright. It's SL's 2D dock with white indicators and white separator bar. Archive is here, copy to the Dock.app's resources folder (you'll have to delete the originals first).

This is just the detail of an image I've done for some contest. It's not over yet so I can't give the original. When it's finished I'll post it.:D

Dude I love the Download icon. Imma make one for me now :D

BTW I made one for Bean word processor app if you'd like that too. I'm working on building a central place for the icons. If you want, I can share a folder in Dropbox where we can both have access to the files at any given moment.

yea that sounds good.

the download icon is pissing me off at the moment cause i cant make it smaller. i cant figure out why!! i've tried everything!!!! so if you make one put it in the folder. thanks
