LOL, how bad do you want an IPAD? :p

It's not even so much in that I want an iPad mate, I just like the interface of iPhone OS, but never imagined it being used on a Mac.

When I got the iPhone icons I began changing over apps and then thought, "I wonder if the iPad wallpaper is out there" ... and I ended up with this.

I think the iPad is a smashing piece of kit, but it's one I probably won't buy myself ... my wife likes it enough to buy one though.

Anyway, changed some things like adding spacers to the dock to make it look less crammed together, and got rid of Preview and added a Contacts (Address Book) icon ...

Woah thats really cool. What app do you use to get that?

I just downloaded an iPhone icon pack and the iPad wallpaper, and set about changing my icons over.

After I changed the icons over, I emptied the dock and put the ones I wanted to be in there (Finder, Dashboard, Safari, Mail, Adium), and then dragged the applications out of the Applications folder and onto the desktop, aligned them to a grid, changed the icon spacing to get the space on the left/right even, then assigned the iPad wallpaper ... sorted.

I looks like it took a lot more work than it did, I'm actually really pleased with it and the funny thing is that it is actually extremely usable.

I took this a few years back i just found it looking through some old pic's if you want it then PM me. :)

I don't like the iPad but that is pretty cool

Cheers mate.

As I said to one of the other guys, I'm not in the market for an iPad although I do love my iPhone. I just like the whole iPhone OS interface and decided to tweak my UI on Snow Leopard and initially thought, "iPhone icons on the dock would be cool", and a few hit and miss Google searches later, I had a solid set of icons.

After applying the usual ones like Finder, Dashboard, Safari, iTunes, etc I noticed there was YouTube, Notes, Maps, etc icons in there, and thought why not try making web links then changing the icons, then placing them on the desktop to mirror the iPhone look.

All that was missing was the background to make it all come together, and since the iPhone as yet has no wallpaper (aside from the bubbles in 4.0 beta which being honest, I think looks pretty poor), I done some searches for the iPad wallpaper, and there it was.

The only thing I had to do was use SuperDocker to add spacers into the dock so I could space out the small amount of icons I was keeping in the dock as a default and the look was complete.

I thought I'd use it for a novelty, but I actually really like the look and it doesn't hinder how I use my Mac in the slightest.

Pretty plain.

Does anyone know how to change the font in the menu bar?

Google "font port thread" and you should find a link to the MacThemes forum. There are a whole bunch of suitable fonts there that you can use. Download one and replace the Lucida Grande system font with the new one.

Just made another :p

It's currently at a 1080 resolution, but you can crop and resize in Preview or iPhoto :D
