i tend to refrain from posting my desktop because i'm on windows but i really like this theme so i will:

fwiw, it screws up lightwave, so i have to turn it off when i want to use lightwave

Grr. I couldn't find the link for my desktop. All I honestly did was type Chicago skyline into google images and found it. For those seriously interested, PM me, and I'll upload it for you.
It's TECHNICALLY not my home since I live in a suburb, but I've been trying to convince the woman to move into the loop. But she needs a stupid yard. Pff! Who needs yards these days anyways? Best I've done so far is convince her to move to brookfield which is 12 miles outside the loop.

Ah, the loop. I live south of there in Hyde Park, but I'm definitely moving to the loop or a bit north of it in the next year.

Yeah, it depends. Where I am it's really nice, though there's nothing at all as far as night life. But as you said, it varies - we had a string of carjackings and muggings over the winter, and some shootings about a mile from where I live. Really just more reason for me to want to move further north.
