Don't worry... changing system preferences and installing applications won't void any warranties... at all... some hacks might mess up the system to a point where Apple support/geniuses will refuse to do anything except recommend a system reinstall (archive and install or - in the worst cases - clean install), but apart from the odd firmware hack you have to alter the hardware to void your warranty.The date modification, and the changing of the dock icons won't void apple's warranty will it?
