This is the highest AQI reading I have ever seen - reached 750 near Apple in Cupertino yesterday.
California is burning up.
Anyone seen a reading that beat this?!

That is terrible indeed. I have never seen anything that high before.

I hope the fires can be put out and the loss of life and property quelled.

The highest AQI I personally saw on my watch was near 250 yesterday, but I have been avoiding the fire areas. Almost a million acres burned near the S.F. Bay Area last week, and most fire areas only about 10% contained. Basically out of control.

I hope you are staying inside with those high numbers. That is very unhealthy.

what's odd about this is that the EPA AQI scale is 0 - 500.
Worst I saw in SJ last week was 202
Good point. It seems that AQI, NowCast AQI, and PM 2.5 Concentration are similar, but not technically the same. EPA says that values more than 500 are "beyond the AQI."
These also are automated sensor readings, so perhaps not official AQI values.
