johny5 macrumors 6502a Mar 31, 2007 751 11 UK Feb 29, 2008 #2 That sounds weird..... maybe they optimised the boot speed in 10.5.2?? I just did an archive and install on my Mac Pro 2.8 and didn't notice any speed difference although I did reinstall 10.5.2
