Archive and Install Question

If I do Archive and install and choose to preserve user and network settings will I lose any documents, applications, or any important files?

Backup anyway if possible, but I did an archive & install and lost nothing. Nada, zip, zilch.

I did the crazy thing I didn't backup (Waiting for my ministack to arrive) and did the archive and install and everything went well.
