iPod Are aftermarket parts undistinguishable?

I have a very damaged iPod Video. I always hear about people buying aftermarket parts in ebay.

Let's say I order a new back and front plate. Are they undistinguishable from the original parts or will they feel different/cheap?

Second question: The front plate seems to cover the screen. Is this a single part unlike the screen in the iPod Classic?

Parts are very similar to OEM ones and actually feel authentic. Yes the front face is just one piece on the Video. Classics have a glass window with aluminum face.
