I stocked up on $5 HDMI cables from a local store called 5Below. It's like a rich dollar store, where everything is $5 or less. Lots of little tech goodies there. My HDMI cable is just fine.
the only reason you might consider buying an expensive cable is to reduce interferences that data passing thru the cable creates. this might be quite important if you have some analog stuff sitting VERY close to the cables.
To be fair, this is sound advice. You should try and keep cables at distances from each other. Don't go overboard o spending loads on a HDMI cable but as I said previously, it is worth spending a bit to prevent interferences. Coupled with the advice from innominato5090 you'll be good to go.
