I can’t install any apps on my watch using the Watch app on my iPhone X (iOS 14.6).

Is anyone one else having the same problem

It seems that iOS 14.6 can't install apps on watchOS 4.3.2 -

"I'm using 1st gen Apple Watch (watchOS 4.3.2) with iPhone 7 (iOS 14.6) and just can't install any apps - all I get is infinite spinning in Watch app".

"Since iOS 14.6 (and now iOS 14.7 beta and 15 beta 1) although you can still pair a 1st generation apple watch, installation of any app fails (spinning circle next to the available apps forever). This happens both on an iPhone 12 pro and on an iPhone XS. This was not happening until iOS 14.5.1."

I called Apple Support about this problem a week or so ago and they got left a message for me yesterday after contacting Engineering. They said that fixing this issue would require an update to watchOS 4.3.2 and/or iOS and that there is no workaround. The message didn't actually say that any update was planned so I don't know whether the problem will ever get fixed.

My phone updated to 14.7.1 last night (for some reason, it didn't ever update to 14.7) and I can now install apps.
