Are apps in the Mac App Store guaranteed to at least work under Rosetta 2?

App compatibility (universal binary and native) will be the biggest hurdle for architecture transition. I don’t have much knowledge about Mac app development, but are the apps in the Mac App Store at least “guaranteed” to work with Rosetta 2?
