Are cellular watches tied to a carrier?

Can a cellular Apple Watch be used with any carrier or are they tied to a specific one?

They are tied to whatever carrier is on the paired iPhone. You can't use AT&T on the iPhone and Verizon on the Apple Watch. Also only post paid.

1. there is only one version of the apple cellular watch (besides color and size) and it can be activated on Verizon, att, etc.?
