It's not really their business unless you are suspicious looking or trespassing. They can ask, and you can say you are waiting for an iPhone. If they tell you to leave tell them to hold your spot in line or to stay there until the store opens and make everyone else leave too. :D

I got shooed away from the mall for the 3G launch at like 5 AM, by the local sheriff's office. They were out at the Apple store waiting. Not like there's real crime going on or anything

Guys, I saw on some other posts that other people's Apple store locations have like 2,000 and 900 reservations. I'm not sure about my location in Nashville, but I'll be calling tomorrow to find out. Anyways, I don't think showing up a half hour before they open is going to cut it. I know they're going to hold the reservations, but if they have more of those than they do iPhones and run out, that wouldn't be good and I'm not taking that chance.

Is that actually 2,900?

I doubt cops would really care, and if they do i'm sure if you give a reasonable explanation there should be no problem! I'm also going to be camping, i work 2-10pm then gonna head out around 12 or 1 and stay until my at&t store opens at 7am :D cant wait

Is a taxi a good idea that early in the morning? Do they run 24/7? (Never used one before) And I'm sure my neighbor won't get up that early and take me lol.

Do you live in a town or city?, taxis will always be 24/7 there.

If cops see people queueing outside an AT&T store I'd think they might stop and have a quick chat, and would increase their patrols in that area, more for your safety.

Although I'm a UK'er.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if a cop came and joined me.

Last year, there was a cop making sure that everything was cool at 4AM. I think he got free coffee.
