Looking to replace the batteries in 2 of my 2009 unibody MacBooks. I know cheap replacement batteries don't always last as long and can be a fire hazard. I've read good things about iFixit MacBook batteries. Anyone have any experiences with them? Could not find if they were UL approved (not sure if any batteries are UL approved?) or if they are brand new? Do they last as long as the original battery?

Last week I used ifixit to change the battery in my late 2009 MacBook. So far so good, and it's easy to do if you have the correct screwdrivers. Give it a shot!

Just got one and installed it for my Air - one question - there appears to be plastic on each cell of the battery - should i remove? the original doesnt have them but there doesnt appear to be an easy pull tab
