Looking to replace the batteries in 2 of my 2009 unibody MacBooks. I know cheap replacement batteries don't always last as long and can be a fire hazard. I've read good things about iFixit MacBook batteries. Anyone have any experiences with them? Could not find if they were UL approved (not sure if any batteries are UL approved?) or if they are brand new? Do they last as long as the original battery?

iFixit batteries are solid. Not originals but they hold their charge as good or almost as good as Apple's.

The only ones possibly superior to ifixit would be OWC batteries.

Last week I used ifixit to change the battery in my late 2009 MacBook. So far so good, and it's easy to do if you have the correct screwdrivers. Give it a shot!
