I bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max from Apple Store when it first came out. I use Verizon as my carrier. I am wondering if I can use a different sim card when I travel overseas. How do I find out if it allows a different sim?

As long as you didn't buy the phone using a carrier installment plan, it's unlocked. On a side note, Verizon phones bought on a Verizon installment plan are only locked for 60 days after purchase.

If you pay it cash its unlocked. I’ve done that the past three iPhones. Very convenient. Before I had to search for iPhones that are on verizon (that used to be unlocked by default).
