Are pencils still ridiculously hard to get?

Just curious since i have a couple of friends are looking for pencils for their ipad...
 
Depends on the city and store I would imagine.

But I believe they a whole lot easier now to snag one than the first couple months.

I bought my IPP roughly a month ago. Ordered online and did an in store pick up. When I was picking it up I asked if they had any. The sales person initially said no, but as I was finalizing my IPP purchase it popped up on her handheld that they did in fact have one left. I of course got it.

I've heard of some stores having 10+ in stock.
 
They've been in stock in a number of stores around Toronto recently. If we have them I expect they are generally available everywhere by now.
 
They've been in stock locally (PNW) at all the stores for a while now without difficulty getting one.
 
Easily found here in Texas at the apple stores I have visited.
So easy I am selling mine at a big discount here in the marketplace.
 
Just picked up one tonight at the Grand Central Terminal Apple Store in New York City. They had a few more as well.
 
If you go to apple.com or use the Apple Store app, you can check to see which stores have the Pencil available for in store pickup.

Yay Apple. Only took 4 months from the time the iPad Pro was released until the Pencils were readily available.

I'm wondering if this is the new Apple. I'm expecting this from now on...

Apple Watch "release"
Retina MacBook "release"
iPad Pro "release"
ASKB "release"
Apple Pencil "release"

Here's hoping the trend does not continue.
