Just curious as I had a micro mark on my iPad and used a regular pencil eraser to try and get rid of it. *no luck, so I’m assuming it came with it and I’m just now noticing it.
Anyway, I started to worry if I rubbed the aluminum with my finger or using the eraser cause unseen damage at all or if it’s not showing any discoloration or wear, is it perfectly fine? I worry that while it looks perfectly fine right now, my eraser meddling perhaps weakened any protective anodized outer cover on the aluminum.

*Sorry, just having a rough week so I’m a bit paranoid about everything.

What’s the concern? Just wipe it off with a damp cloth and then dry it, and keep it dry.

I have a silver iPad Pro, but I'm honestly not sure.

They're all anodised, it's what gives it the smooth matte finish. Aluminium will naturally oxidise in the atmosphere anyway, and that creates a protective layer. This is why it's more resistant to rusting through than Iron/ Steel. I doubt you can do too much damage unless you actually wear a depression out of the metal by scrubbing it for a long time.

If the rubber eraser I used wore it down, wouldn’t it be lighter in color or just like it’s been worn away?

I hate OCD, I’ve been doing really good then i thought I may have caused this tiny 1mm mark and immediately thought selling it and getting a new one was the only answer.

If it's that tiny white line, definitely OCD Kal. Almost invisible and only noticeable if you know it's there. I doubt the eraser had any affect one way or the other.

My biggest concern was my using a normal eraser to see if the tiny mark was something that could be removed with the eraser, but when it didn’t, I got paranoid that maybe I took off an invisible layer seeing if the mark was just a tiny mark, lol.
I don’t know why I got so paranoid and stressed as I’ve used regular erasers on many iDevices and anything really to erase marks, and nothing ever happened or got damaged.
