Thanks, this case is really nice, I like the carbon fibre accents

I'm guessing the ghosting never happend on the 8 because of the glass back. Just curious what did you use to remove it on your 7.
Isopropyl Alcohol Don't think it's recommended but I use it on the screen when replacing the screen protector so I gave it a go.

That’s what I used to get rid of the marks left by my UAG case on my iPhone 7 Plus. I also had a nicely constructed Asian off brand case leave similar marks on my Pixel 2 and used isopropyl alcohol on that, too. On the new glass backed phones, well on Apple’s web site they said they use oleophobic coating on the back glass, too. So they don’t advise the use of any solvents or cleaners. Basically all we can do is use the kind of soft microfiber cloths reserved for camera lenses and eyeglasses.

If anyone is especially worried about the back glass scratching I recommend this Supershieldz film back glass protector.

I have used these for the my pluses. Generally they stick pretty well. Sometimes the cases I use have caused the edges to pull up a little or cause little bubbles. I’ve not yet had anything abrasive get stuck under them though.

I have always used Spigen and only Spigen on all my iPhones. I have never gotten any other brand other than Spigen. I did not have any issues with them nor did they scratch my device at all.

Edit to Add: Ever since iPhone 4, I started using only Spigen.

I love this one for my iPhone XS Max
That is the exact case I'm using right now and I love it. I also have the Liquid air and both are really nice.

I had the ghosting thing with a Spigen tough armor case but i was able to remove it(iPhone 7) used one on the 8 without issue. I am back to Otterbox right now, I like blocky cases, but I just learned in another thread I am doing it wrong. Apparently those of us that like cases and screen protectors are "weirdos".

No, cases/screen protectors are needed especially for drops, scratches etc.

I actually love Spigen's cases. They seem more upmarket relative to their pricing. Though I have to say, holding an Otterbox (Symmetry for example) does yield a more substantial and high quality feeling than Spigen. I know they're all TPU, plastic, etc but I feel like there's a more sharper, more polished finish on more expensive cases--but almost not worth the cost.
