I am currently on T-Mobile and can purchase a Sprint phone @ BB. Will I still be on TM network or will I be on Sprints. I will buy an unlocked phone payed in full. I am trying to get my head wrapped around this.

I’ve done the same but with a Verizon iPhone at Best Buy.

Sorry, I don’t know the answer to the original question, but a Verizon model from Best Buy purchased at full price will work just fine on T-Mobile (if that’s an option).

It is all SIM card dependent.

If it’s a new Tmobile sim it will be both networks.

If I have a 12 promax running with an old Sim card on 5G, if I swap to a new T-Mobile Sim it will also rely on sprints network?

It seems I can use the SIM card from the 8+ in the 12 as both are Nano cards. I found the 12 Pro Max at Nebraska Furniture Mart of all places. I guess time will tell if I need a updated SIM to both enable 5G and run on the combined T-Mobile/Sprint networks.

Looks like no - but Sprint customers have started getting a better network.

  • For now, all customers will stay with the same Sprint and T-Mobile network, stores, and service they’ve been using. Plus, Sprint customers now receive extended roaming capabilities on T-Mobile.
  • Sprint customers can now visit a T-Mobile store for service; most T-Mobile branded stores can now serve both Sprint and T-Mobile customers..
  • Need more info for Sprint customers? Detail
