I have a 2010 MBP which i have grown so used to regarding image quality. I am about to order my 2011 model with a glossy HR display. How are the AMD graphics as opposed to Nivida?

Search is your friend.

Overall, yes. If you game in Windows, the nVidia is thought to be slightly better.

Are we comparing the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB or the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256MB to the AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1GB or the AMD Radeon 6490M 512MB?

You are obviously talking about a 15''+ model because you mention Hi-Res display option and AMD but what specific cards are you trying to compare?

What do you mean image quality? If you're talking about gaming then the newer models are more powerful.

If you're talking about color gamut, contrast, viewing angles and such, that has nothing at all to do with the graphics card and everything to do with the display panel, so the quality is the exact same.

Sorry, The NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256MB to the AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1GB. When i say image quality, I mean overall clarity and sharpness of the images. I dont do much hard core gaming.

Wouldn't clarity and sharpness be an attribute of the display panel rather then the GPU?

also, you would be using the integrated graphics for general usage so it wouldn't really have anything to do with the AMD card

The 6750M 1GB will roll the GT 330M 256MB.

Image quality has to do with your display as stated.

the AMD graphics card is much better and more powerful, it's newer technology I believe? But Nvidia and AMD/ ATI have alway's done things in different way's. But yes the 2011 card is an improvement over the 2010.

As for the image, having a hi res screen myself I can say my eye's have got used to it, the images are nice and clear, Apple display's are amongst the best you can buy.
Only thing about the glossy is the screen does reflect light a lot, I don't mind that as in MY eye's the glossy gives the better picture, but you may want to bear it in mind.

The 6750m will blow the GT330 in terms of performance. But the image quality depends on the display, which is the same on both the 2010 and 2011 models
