Are the iTunes created Ringtones Louder?

I just did one of Linkin Park to try it out and it sounds louder than the other ones that I converted from MP3s. I havent tried any scientific tests but ionno it sounds pretty loud.

I think maybe the problem was that you used Linkin Park, and when your ears started bleeding you automatically attributed it to a louder volume.😉

Just created one myself and yes it is louder! Louder is good considering the built in ones are puny!

Does anyone know of a way to assign a different ringtone to the text message alert (without Jailbreak)?

It feels like you really need to find ones that have very little bass. That seems to be the cause of most of the distortion.
