Hi Apple friends. Are the keycaps of the Corsair Vengeance K70 just ABS or is it the better PBT (though some like Switch & Click channel says, some good ABS are as good as PBT or even better)

I plan to buy my very first mechanical keyboard to see what the fuzz is all about, without spending that much. I found a seller selling his old, most likely 10 year old Corsair Vengeance K70 (a few LED aren't lighting anymore, the switches are Cherry Blue switches) for about US$13.20. A full-size keyboard is I think not popular wihen it comes to mechanical keyboard now or those back to rubber-dome (is that a devolution instead) but responsive opto-electro-magnetic switches but I do have a 60% space saver keyboard (the amazing Magic Keyboard we all use). I do have another full-sized keyboard (the usual cost-effetive not so branded full-size office keyboard) but it's membrane and it's smooth when lubed.

Recommendations are welcome (is that US$13.2 a good buy? or there are new ones that are better for that price?)

I changed all my keyboards to mechanical ones and never regret it.
I still can type well with laptop keyboard, but the feeling on my fingertips when using the mechanical keyboards are much nicer and smoother than rubber-dome ones.
Blue-switches are noisy and may disturb your co-worker sitting next to you. I prefer brown switches. I haven't tried red or black switches.

Hi thanks for the reply, I already bought my very first mechanical keyboard last week- I'm happy with the brand and model (although the ABS keycaps feel like PBT, I wish it was real PBT).

The used Corsair Vengeance although cheap for a branded keyboard which used to be top of the line, which is less risk being cheap if mechanical keyboards are not for me- I may not be able to repair some of its LEDs that aren't lighting and it's scroll wheel the seller said is also acting funky.

I decided (after months to a year or so of research and holding off) to buy the amazing Royal Kludge RK98 w/ 6 mos. warranty (white color which might match match the iMac but then it could also be all black coz' the iMacs have black around their screens- I wonder if I should exchange it for the all black one? I think a dark gray body though would be the easier to match with any gadget) which has the new 98% but w/ exploded sections (arrow keys, the function keys, Home cluster, numpad have spaces in between them) but I'll still use the amazing  Magic Keyboard 2 coz' it's the most low-profile and compact (perhaps a 73% layout) without sacrificing the function keys of anything that's out there. I got the blue switches coz' I love the feel of feeling a strong clicks (the spacebar is noisy in a different way but it's funny at the same time) which makes me feel I'm really typing on a mechanical keyboard and also because I have strong fingers (calloused coz' of guitar playing- will need a stronger click to feel things).

I really wanted it to be a separate wireless, RGB mechanical numpad and a separate mechanical keyboard with 75% layout w/ the arrow keys slightly separated but can't find a good wireless mechanical numpad, this Royal Kludge (best sounding name too) is second best from my ideal separate wireless mechanical keyboard and numpad but must have RGB which helps relieve stress (lighting makes the mood) so I can work longer while maintaining focus (RGB's not a gimmick, it's got health benefits too for well-being :) ).
