I used to look forward to seeing what the weekly Giveaway was going to be every Friday, but it looks like MacRumors has either stopped doing the Giveaways, or they're cutting back on the frequency. Did I miss an announcement about this? Does anyone know if this is still a thing? Even the MacRumors Giveaway website says at the top: "Each Friday, MacRumors teams up with a different company to offer products for MacRumors readers to win." My guess is that this new economy we're in with record inflation and supply chain shortages has led to partner companies backing away from marketing promotions like giveaways.

We haven't eliminated giveaways, but we will no longer be doing them on a weekly basis. We've decided to pivot away from weekly product giveaways to more infrequent giveaways that provide a higher value to MacRumors readers. So our giveaways won't be on a regular basis, but will include an Apple product like an iPhone, Mac, or Apple Watch when we do them.

This doesn't have anything to do with supply chain shortages or our partner companies, just to be clear. It's an internal decision to bring better giveaways to our readers.

I understand wanting to have less frequent giveaways. I think it would be good to have them on some regular basis such as the beginning of each month.

Less is more -- and better in this case. I would love to win a fully equiped 16" MBP!
