They are all the same. Try resetting the SMC.

If you are using Big Sur 11.1 (or later) there are some new hubs and docks that can have multiple TB3 devices connected to them. If you have more drives/displays than ports that could be worth considering.

Actually, there are two busses that share 2 ports each.
