Are there any 6+ cases that are as protective as the Otterbox Defender

It's less costly but you get what you pay for. I ordered one for my iPhone 6 and holy rainbow effect under the built in screen protector. If your ripping out the screen protector it's a good case, if you plan on keeping it I'd get something else.

Hmm interesting. Yeah I was afraid of that. I'll check it out and go from there. I may end up ripping out the protector... if the basic case is good. I like Otterbox but their case colors for the 6+ are quite drab.

I saw those at AT&T. Do you think they are as protective as the defender? Thanks!

No built in front cover but otherwise comparable to a defender. Holster seems sturdy and on par with the Defender holster.
