No one makes a waterproof battery pack but is a good idea. How long is your camping trip because battery packs comes in all sorts of power sizes. This one can charge your iphone 6-8 times.

I don't get why battery cases are 2000-3000 mah and their at least 50$ but you can get an external one that is 2-4x bigger than that for $30-50.

Im think of getting one of these:
Anker Astro E4 13000mAh External Battery Pack Portable Power Bank Charger for iPhone 5

Anker® Astro3E 10000mAh High Capacity Power Bank Pack Portable External Battery Charger for iPhone 5

Anker® Astro 5600mAh External Battery Pack Portable Power Bank Charger with built-in Flashlight for Apple

If you're going to go with a 5600mAh battery, check out the TYLT powerplant. It's 2.1A out instead of 1A so it charges devices much faster. TYLT sells one with a built in lightning cable for $90, but I got one with a built in microUSB cable(+extra USB port for my lightning cable) on eBay for $20. Works for me because I use the microUSB cable to charge my BT headset.

To expensive for me. Plus it doesn't matter how fast it charges it going to be in my bag charging my iPhone 5 during school.
I am most likely going to get the anker e4 13000mah one.

    I just ordered:
Anker Astro E4 13000mAh External Battery Pack Portable Power Bank Charger for iPhone 5, 4S, 4, iPad 4, 3, 2, Mini, iPods; Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, S2, Note 2; HTC One, EVO, Thunderbolt, Incredible, Droid DNA; Motorola ATRIX, Droid; Google Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10; LG Optimus [Lightning Adapter not included for iPhone 5] [3 mobile phone connectors] - Black
    http://amzn.com/B00BQ5KHJW

95% if the reviews are 5/5 stars. Anyone know the best way to charge the battery pack. The max is 1.5 amp charging.

I would recommend RAVPower 14000mAh. I ordered one from Amazon and have been using it for a while. It works great. It will charge your iPhone 5 for several times after full charge.
