If I open another video in VLC when one is loaded, it will be replaced, while IINA will open it in a 2nd window. I did some googling and it looks like neither of them support tabs.
Is that really a question? I want to be able to open multiple videos and easily switch between them using tabs, instead of using multiple copies of VLC, or having multiple windows open with IINA. QuickTime has tabs but doesn't support certain container formats like mkv and webm, while both VLC and IINA do.
One surprising option would be Firefox. You can drop videos into tabbed windows and it will play them. You can even play videos in different tabs simultaneously if you like.

I meant all the various feature VLC and IINA have. Also, I just quickly tried opening an old Japanese show with subs on Firefox and it couldn't open, while it can open with either of those two players.

Not sure which things you are looking for but certainly Firefox is not a dedicated video play. It just happens to open many (but not all) videos as a result of being a web browser. I don’t know of any other players that meet your specific requirements.
