Are there any native 1440p videos out there?

I am sick of this measly 1080p. I want to experience the full force of my imac. Are their any videos posted online that are in the 27 inches', native resolution?

    1440p is not really a broadcast or recording format. There is 1920 x 1080, then 2K (up to 2048 x 1556 depending on the aspect ratio) and then there is 3K (3072 x 1728) to 5K (5120 x 2700).

Youtube support higher than 1080p resolution (normally labelled as "Original resolution" in the menu), which can be 1440p.

However, there doesn't seem to be any really good "live action" video shot and published in 1440p. You will find lots of "upscaled" video.

Your best guess would probably with video game footage, since they can be played at this resolution. But even then it's quite clear that video games developpers aim more for 1080p when they do textures and stuff.

Would scaled down 2k, or 4k video actually be 1440p? I have a friend who shot some raw footage with a RED camera, in 4k. I could probably have him process it down to 1440p if the imac community wants to see some boring skate videos.

It was more of a screen test so it was crystal clear video, of some mediocre skaters.
