I am sure this has been answered many thousand times over, but is there any legitimate way to jailbreak a 3.1.3 regular 3G phone right now without any fuss?

I would just like to use PDA Net

Yes, with redsnow or pwnagetool for 2G and 3G models.
Nothing for 3GS on 3.1.3

I haven't done a jailbreak on an iPhone since the 2g days years ago...

Would you mind giving me a quick step by step? I am no longer familiar with the new ways.

Thanks again, just asking on behalf of my friend who has just got a 3G. He will be able to get an unlock fro
O2 UK thinking about it 🙂

If he wants to get it officially unlocked he'll have to contact the carrier thats locked to for details.

No, just JB.
No unlock available yet for iphone 3G and 3GS that have been officially updated to 3.1.3

Doesnt sn0wbreeze allow you to not update the baseband? So you can still keep your unlock from 3.1.2, and use a custom ipsw to jailbreak to 3.1.3.... right??

Or am I wrong?

Yes, only if you're JB already on 3.1.2 and dont have a tethered JB.
Pwnage tool also does the same but its an alot better JB.
