Hello, sometimes the battery of my phone used up after spending a day on the streets. I don't usually use youtube nor make phone calls. Since I spend 2-4 hours on public transportation and about 2-3 hours of which have no internet connection in the subway, I wonder if there is an external battery which allows me to watch videos for 3 hours while I can still use my phone for the entire day. Any suggested products appreciated. Thanks.

Won’t a battery case (eg.Mophie, Thin Charge, Apple) suffice?

See how long your phone lasts on a full charge, and then get a battery pack (or battery case) that will have enough amps in it to allow you to full recharge. e.g. if your phone is 2000mAh battery, getting a battery pack of 4000mAh will charge your phone fully twice.

I have a Zagg 6000mAh charger/battery pack, and that is more that enough for me to get my iPhone 6 recharged close to 3 times. Hassle of a cable to plugin, so if that is an issue you should look into battery cases.

Anker has some power banks. Are "with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0" and "with PowerIQ" features useful for the iPhone 6s+? As I recall, Quick Charge is for Samsung phones?

Thought you wanted increased portable battery life?

I can't use battery case as I have an Otterbox case for my iPhone 6s+ already. I need some kind of portable battery that would allow me to use my phone for an entire day with 2-4 hours of continuous video playing.

I love the Anker power banks, good setups. Yes quick charge only works for samsung, so buy one without it or with it but it will only charge at the 2.1 amp rate.

In general, how is the Anker power banks compared with the Mophie?

The Powerstations seem to be very big. Few years ago, Apple Stores used to carry Mophie's ext batteries but not anymore. Does that mean they are not good or Apple cannot make a profit out of them?

My vote is for the Anker. I've had great experience w/ many different models. They have a 20,000 for $40 and a 10,000 for $26 that is pretty light and small. There are probably cheaper choices but I've had mixed results.
