Are third-party SSDs treated like removable drives?

Simple question, considering that I can't send applications to the trash (they are deleted immediately): are third-party SSDs without TRIM considered as removable drives?

Or am I facing permissions issues?

My Crucial C300 ssd without Trim support works the same as internal drive it replaced.

I've reported this elsewhere, but so far haven't found a solution, it seems...I probably have a permissions problem due to having the OS+Apps in the SSD, and my user folders in the HD.

Fixes exist for re-creating the .trash file in your user, but I am not sure this applies to my case...I have a Vertex 3, by the way.
