As the title states, are two minis as good as one OG HomePod?

I would say yes for the simple fact you can't buy the OG HomePod anymore, I wouldn't be comfortable spending that money on second hand without warranty and not completely sure how long it will be supported.

If your looking for better sound quality than a mini maybe look at a Sonos system.

Im no audiophile so take this with a grain of salt… I currently have nine OGs and seven minis. Mixed in are stereo pairs of each type and a few performing solo duty. If the OG was still readily available and not discontinued… and they weren’t so unreliable, I’d prefer one OG to a stereo pair of Minis any day. That’s just going by the way I interpret sound in my ears.

I have 3 OG HomePods (2 paired in stereo) and 4 minis (though 2 are for sale)… and come to the same conclusion. Clearly I’m not a massive audiophile/sound guy, because, you know… I have Apple stuff. But a pair of OG HomePods is an ideal setup!
