Unavailable in lots of apple stores online... on most of EU stores you cannot order them anymore.

And delivery dates are 3-4 weeks if available...

(I really dont want to pay 250€ more for apple branded identical display)

I'd look for a 3rd-party display (and one that doesn't use USB-c).
But... that's just me.

I am - but i’m really set on high pixel Density of the UltraFines.

Will check the P2415Q if i find one on display to see how it fares

It is actually weird: In Denmark the 4K has been taken down completely. The 5K is still up but no delivery date. Then the other day, it was available again and I got hold of one.

I can, unfortunately, join the choir of reports of an unstable connection to the MBP.

Could it really be that Apple will phase it out? Without any alternative to offer?

Then there only is the (date) iMac left on the shelves for office use.

I cannot be true, something must come up

I suspect Apple branded retina displays + the new Mac Pro.

Posted this in another forum as well, but;

- The 5K was out of stock in many countries a few weeks back, and then back in stock, and now out again....I hope that this is sorted out by next week as I want to order 2 in Switzerland when I'm there! (For info - Swiss; No Stock but able to add to cart with shipping in February, Belgium store; no stock and not able to add to cart, France; no stock and not able to add to cart.)

Whilst I know there are many screens to choose from, I find the 5K the best quality, so I hope they come back in stock, or an alternative shows itself soon!

Oh that's an interesting find.

Yes... someone who obviously spent literally minutes doing that exquisite artwork, somehow found time to sneak in a crafty, career-limiting leak of a forthcoming Apple product.... or maybe they just found an image of a generic, but vaguely Apple-like display in the same clipart collection that they got the images of the various sockets from... Which could it be...?

Meanwhile - seriously - who is that "quick setup" guide written for? It tells you nothing that anybody with a scintilla of technical knowledge would need to be told and would be woefully inadequate for anybody without a scintilla of technical knowledge... Somewhere, there's a box that says "Quick Setup Guide" that had to be ticked...

I was looking a month ago or so and saw that none of the stores had a 27" available so called Apple. They said don't believe the web site and call your local store as lots keep one in stock for sale but won't list it as available. Really crazy.

Here, Apple authorized distributor had it in stock for for 6hours, after they said they can't supply it, then they removed it again
