Now more than a week into 8.3 update, I am very satisfied with it.

Phone is stable and bug-free. Everything is snappy and smooth. And today I got 8 hours out of battery!

I have to mention that I did a complete restore from iTunes. And then I manually redownloaded the apps, manually reconfigured all the settings, and manually re-imported all the data/files into the apps. It took around 4 hours, but now I can confidently say it was worth it.

I second this, my 5S runs fantastic on it. Much less bugs. Especially the very annoying landscape one seems to be gone now!

Lollipop is where it's now at - really impressive.

Really, lollipop has been a disaster for Google with all the problems it has had. 5.1 is better but in general lollipop has had major problems. It made my Moto X worse, on my Note 4 it was so bad that I had to go back to 4.4.4

It made my nexus 7 run a tad slower, but unlike iOS, I can roll back to an older release. Once on iOS 8, we are stuck with it.

8.2 seemed like the light at the end of the road and finally fixed my bluetooth hands-free issue with my Mitsubishi Lancer. So I updated to 8.3 without a second thought and now Wifi Sync is broken on my iPhone 6 (weirdly my iPad 3 on 8.3 works fine?!).

Did you backup, wipe and reinstall? It might help maybe. I'm only back to iOS for the last couple of weeks so I'm not greatly up on the details but I think I seen a few people mention that a full wipe helped to sort out their problems.

Smooth as silk on the Xperia.

You'll be telling us next Apple have covered themselves in glory with iOS 8

Not been happy since 8.1 came out. When I got my iPhone 6 it came with 8.0 and the battery would last forever. Since 8.1 the battery has been lasting no more than 12 hours. Went to the apple store who did diagnostics and said the battery/hardware is fine.

I even wiped the phone, setup as new and installed nothing just as a test for 1 day and it was the exact same, so something in iOS 8.1, 8.2 and now 8.3 are sucking the battery dry. Royal PITA!

Hurry up and fix this Apple. Phone used to last 2 days easy, now it barely gets me through work without needing charged!

12 hours usage or standby?

I'll agree that 8.1.1 onwards the battery life hasn't been as good as it was out of the box, but 8.3 is so much more stable and smooth. I have very few complaints now, other than the lack of RAM. Whilst I wish that the battery life was like it used to be, frankly I would take 8.3 as it is because my 6+ was a dog before this version of the o/s. A total dog.

I have the 6 Plus with the latest iOS and it runs flawlessly. I was actually quite surprised with all the negative ratings this iOS 8 was getting. I have not had an issue...well maybe just a few crashing apps every once in a while but that is not big deal.

12 hours total. The phone said it had 3 hours usage over that 12 hour period. Just now I unplugged my phone before I went to bed as a test and in 8 hours it lost 40%, which means I would get 20 hours from it on standby with zero usage.

It does day it has been used for 1 hour in those 8 hours (background stuff I presume, checking mail, app refreshing, etc).

However with my old 5 I could go to bed with it at 100% and wake up with it at 98% after the same time period. I gave my 5 to my mum and I believe she still has it on 8.1.1 with no battery drain issues, so what is is about the iPhone 6 that is causing this?

Surely I shouldn't be loosing 40% of battery while the phone sits there and does nothing for 8 hours.....
