Nintendo today released a new iPhone app that can provide you with daily updates about company news, upcoming game releases, and more.

Nintendo Today! is available in the App Store for the iPhone for free, and it is also available in the Google Play Store for Android.

After signing into your Nintendo Account, you can scroll through a news feed with video clips, images, and other fun content. There is also a calendar tab that lists upcoming Nintendo Direct presentations, game releases, in-game events, and more. The app offers a Home Screen widget that lets you view the calendar at a glance.

The app will also keep customers informed about Nintendo's upcoming Switch 2 launch.

You can personalize the news feed by selecting your favorite Nintendo games, and you can theme the app's design based on popular Nintendo game franchises, like Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and others.

Let's-a go!

Tbh I *might* add a Nintendo calendar to Calendar, for giggles and to follow the Switch 2 roll out. But no way am I getting an app.

I like the N64 only. No interest in the Switch 1 nor 2. My trend is the low poly games of the N64, and the original controller. If they re-released the physical cartridges, I’d buy more (in fact I’m still buying them, in the 2nd hand market)

"Are you a Nintendo fan?"

Well, I discovered Nintendo around 1983-1984 with the Game & Watch series, became a huge fan during the NES and SNES eras, but was then turned off by 3D games and franchise overexploitation (Mario this, Mario that…). I'm not a Big N fan anymore but still appreciate the company and its philosophy.

If you like low-poly Nintendo games, try the Super FX games on SNES :)

The only news in the world that actually is worth reading is Nintendo news anyway (/s), so.. I'm happy.

But honestly this is just a very clever marketing trick for the Nintendo Switch 2. And I'm all for it :)

Another app. Great. We truly have an app for everything. I don't like have thousands of apps on my phone, just bare essentials. But I guess it is nice that there is an app for people who need it.
