I know prior to release, there was a lot of people worrying if the 16 gb iPhone 4 would be good enough or if the 32 GB would be too much/too little?

So after about 3 weeks, are you content with the 16 or 32 GB size?

Please post the size you bought, your previous iPhone size also how much free space you have?

I think this may help those who have yet to buy an iPhone 4 and are still undecided as to what size. I have an iPhone 3G 8 GB, but am leaning toward a 16GB iP4.

ie:

Current: 16 GB
Had: 8 GB iPhone 3G
Capacity: 5 GB free.

I had a 16gb 3g and 3gs. I kept 1 gig free deliberately on them both just in case I ever needed the space in a pinch, and for apps etc.

I got a 32 gig ip4 so I don't have to worry about it ever again. I have everything I want + about 9 gigs free :)

I have the 32GB and would have bought a 64GB one had they made it. I have 4GB free and will probably fill that soon with the larger pictures and HD video.

Do the pictures really take up that much space?

I had the 32gb 3gs and now have the 16ip4. Wish I wouldve got the 32 but now did a exchange because of a faulty device now they say i cant exchange:mad: I didnt use my upgrade though:rolleyes: GET THE 32GIG

Well they're quite a bit larger in comparison to previous generations' iPhone pics. And to put it into perspective, I had 500+ pictures on my iPhone 3GS camera roll. So I take a lot of pics.

I got the the 32g, wish there was a 128g version. I wonder if this is moddable?

I've got the 16GB and I have about 3GB free. I tend to cycle thru apps and my music stays at about the same size. I use Pandora a lot, and don't have any movies on the iphone. Personally, the 16gb is enough.

Content as I can be, if they made it larger I'd buy. I have about 90GB's worth of music, I wish I could just put it all on. :D
Perhaps a 128GB model in the future?!
Crap but what about all my movies and tv shows! :(

I had 32gb and that was getting à bit cramped, but at my 4 it is really not that big anymore. My 64gb iPad has some space left but I had to choose what I needed to leave out on my iPhone 4. Not a big problem, but I wouldn't have hesitated a second if there would have been a 64gb model.
OTOH, I'm happy as can be with the iPhone 4 because it is taking a lot of time before it shows up officially in holland. And because it is a bit better again at everything and a lot better at it's display. Man what is that retina display superb

Yep. I had a 16GB 3GS and didn't use up much...have the 16GB 4 and a have 12 GB left. I have all the music and photos that I want on my phone.

I have a 16 and wish I would have bought the 32. 16 should be sufficient for me though. I currently have 2.6gb free. If I get to the point where I need more, I will start deleting music. I only really listen to about a third of what I have on the phone thanks to Pandora and iOS4 multitasking.

Current phone: 32GB iPhone 4
Current capacity 26.2GB
Previous phone: 8GB iPhone 2G

My iP4 starts off really at 28.8GB and is down about 2.6GB from music and apps. I keep my music conversion at 128kb and mp3. Since my laptop crashed and hasn't work since (F--- Windows!), I lost most of my music/videos/photos. I am just importing whatever old CDs I can find and have only about 400+ tracks. I never really had more than 1,100 songs for my iPod, so 4GB is good enough for me. I might shoot for 2,000-3,000 tracks this time. Save 9GB for music, videos, and "other" (photos, apps, software update, books). Go 9-9-9 (27 total) and then another 1 gig as FREE space just for it not to slow down. I did use the full 7.3GB capacity of my first gen iPod touch and it slowed down like crazy. Deleted some things and kept it at 300MB of free space to quicken it up and it worked.

But 28.8GB free capacity keeps me very content (so far). No regrets and I am NOT really a heavy media content user. My 2G iPhone used more than 6GB and most of it with lots of downloaded videos from MxTube. With the 5MP, HD video recording setting, and higher resolution screen for video and apps, and 16GB (or 14.4GB) could easily be filled. The key to save space is to stream your music like what Simplify Media did. A bottomless pit. And for videos, stream it too. Save the rest for photos, personal vids, and apps. But HD anything is a memory hog.

I wish there was a 64 GB model. It'll be nice when Netflix finally releases their application.

Current: 32 GB iPhone 4
Had: 32 GB iPhone 3GS
Capacity: 109 MB free.

I thought I'd get the 32GB iP4 just to be on the safe side, but I don't think I'll ever fill it. I don't regret it, though. It just gives me peace of mind knowing I don't have to limit myself.

Current Phone: 32GB iPhone 4
Current Capacity: 15.4GB Free
Previous Phone: 16GB iPhone 3GS

I wanted a 64GB iPhone 4. I have less than 6GB left on my 32GB iPhone 4, which will get filled quickly with more apps, music, photos, 720p videos, etc. I previously had a 32GB iPhone 4.

I don't really have a need for the larger size. I've noticed that whenever I have more content beyond ~12-15GB, it just ends up sitting there and never actually getting viewed/used.

Same here,

I've got a 16Gb iPhone 4, used to have a 32Gb 3GS, which allowed me to have all 15gb of my music on whilst having a few movies aswell, however i realised i barely listen to any of my music and the videos were being put on half the time just for the sake of filling up the memory.

Am getting along fine with my 16Gb, have made a playlist of all the music i listen to most often and downscaled the tracks to 128kps to free space and even have a 3Gb HD movie on the handset aswell and still have 5-6Gb free most times
