I cleared a lot of videos off mine to save space. I usually stream stuff now anyway and watch videos on my iPad. I think 32gb will last me until next year, but I will definitely need 64gb by the next revision. The thing is that I was thinking about skipping the next one so that I can get a Verizon iPhone without paying AT&T an ETF in 2012. But who am I kidding? I've bought one every year. Next year will probably not be any different, and hopefully by then the antenna issue will be sorted out.

I have the 32GB and would have bought a 64GB one had they made it. I have 4GB free and will probably fill that soon with the larger pictures and HD video.

+1

I have my full iTunes library on my phone, including podcasts, and that fills up more than 20GB. Add in photos, video, apps, and iOS4 itself, and I have 1.5GB free.

iPhone 4 came too close on the heels of the 3GS for Moore's Law to have helped us out, though. I imagine 64GB NAND devices will be available for iPhone 5 (or "4 GS", or whatever-they'll-call-it-then).

32g and happy I did. I still have 17G to play around with. Did I mention I'm happy I purchased the 32G :).

I had the same question as you before I brought my phone and ultimately decided on getting the 32gb for added flexibility. I'm not sure if would have needed the extra 16gbs, as of yet, no, but I haven't started taking HD videos yet and those fill up very quickly. Plus, if you decided to sell your phone in the future, the 32gb model will have a higher resell value than the 16gb, so in essence, you won't be out the entire extra $100.

Music videos are eating mine. I have shifted to all music, no movies or TV shows. I have 1.6 free on my 32. As others have said, I would have been all over a 64 gig. I find that is perfect with my iPad. I have the same music on the iPad as on my iPhone, but I also have some movies and TV shows. Now with the phone playing 720p, the movies take more space as well. At least I can start deleting my 480p versions of movies.

32 GB, and previously I had a 32 GB 3GS. I have 1500 songs, 85 videos (11 are full feature films), and 4824 photos. 1.5 GB available... I wish there was a 64 GB but the 32 is pretty good for me, when I need some space I'll just remove some of these videos.

Went from a usually half full 8GB 3G to a 32GB iPhone 4 with 10GB left.

I have my entire iPhoto & iTunes libraries as well as plenty of space for HD videos and photos to shoot on the phone. Then when I want to cut them in iMovie, I can choose whatever song I want and drop in any pictures I have shot!

First iPhone here. I thought 32G would be too big but ordered it anyway. It's now half-full, so I'm glad I didn't get the 16G.

I ordered a 16. In the past I've had 8's and 16's and didn't fill them up. I don't need that much music on my phone. I also have an 80gig iPod for the whip.

If you bought a 16 and wished you had gotten a 32...

...Do you think you could return it to get a 32 before the 30 days is up? How would that work? Couldn't I just say I was "not happy with the size" and give them the difference for a 32?

If you can't tell I am regretting not getting a 32 :) Had a 16gb 3G but I wish I had made the storage upgrade.

I had a 3GS White 32GB but never filled it, however the reason I went with the 32GB Black i4 was the video, I figured I could use the extra space when I am on vacation if I take a lot of photos and Video.

I am not sure the diff in the 16 and 32 GB is worth $100 but better safe then sorry later.

I wish there was a 64 GB model. It'll be nice when Netflix finally releases their application.

Current: 32 GB iPhone 4
Had: 32 GB iPhone 3GS
Capacity: 109 MB free.

What will Netlfix have to do with it? I don't imagine it beign anything other than a streaming service (although the ability to "rent" movies and temporarily store them would be great for travel away from WiFi areas).

Anyhow, I got the 32GB version and have 18.8GB free. However, I would've gotten a 64GB version if they had one. I love having lots of free space - I can always put more content on the phone, just in case.

yeah i went with the 16gb IP4 now regretting it....only have 3gb available...

on the priority list for the 32gb at the tampa store no word yet after 8 days....

I agree with some here who bought the 32 more for a peace of mind, but don't consider myself the type that needs to carry my entire library of music and video. There is a $250 iPod classic at 160GB that I can buy to store all that.

I just stream. No need to carry too much music or video everywhere I go just to "fill memory"...

Some my most important content really are my personal photos and home videos. Those are my lifetime worth of great memories. I can store my music, videos, and apps at 7GB with my iP4, and use the other for mainly photos and home videos. My problem is I used to do VGA (640x480) settings for my videos because my P&S camera maxes out to that. With 720p, it is going to be a pain. HD recording is both a batt and memory hog. A 30 sec HD video can consume as much as an entire music album at over an hour. Uploading to my YouTube account is now a must. And I did use VGA for still pictures when I went to Asia three years ago which was my favorite photo album. Not going to look all that great now on a 960x640 screen. So if my photos is also taking too much at taking space, I can always upload my 2,000+ pix at Photobucket and I get easy access with the app.

Storing it online and streaming is now the key. There is never enough GB to go around with higher settings than the ones we have. Good thing I am not about excess. Coming from a 2GB with the Nokia N82 and a pair of 8GB first gen iPhone/iPod touch, 32 is my "Magic" number... (for now)

32 GB isn't enough. Between music, podcasts, pictures, and movies I think 64 GB would have been perfect. Personally, I would have preferred the battery life of the 3GS if I could have gotten a larger hard drive.
