What? How is the 3G iPad any different from the original iPhone? There's still an ugly plastic strip for the signal to get through. So really, they didn't solve anything... they're using the same design as the original iPhone. They "solved" the issue by making the iPhone 3G plastic.
So what? Are you implying that the iPad will have the same reception issues that the first generation iPhone had because Apple didn't use plastic this time? Apple must be smoking something to make the same mistake twice.
The reason why we're seeing the Alu now on the iPad means the reception issue is history. On the event the same problem persists when the iPads hit the shelves, then Apple must be smoking something.
