Methinks he is entitled to his opinion. Methinks also that the thread may cause users to over estimate their looks. If we're all so good looking, then that makes us more average than we realize...

I agree, however calling the thread narcissistic doesn't help in making people feel good about themselves, which ultimately is what it has turned into. I don't think there is anything wrong with having a confidence "boost." Although the comment wasn't directed at one person, its like saying you're obsessed with yourself because you posted a picture on here.

In answer to the thread question -- no, I don't consider myself good-looking. I don't scare children and small animals, though, so I guess that's a plus.

I've been told I somewhat resemble Brent Spiner. I've still got my hair color, though.

This thread/poll just doesn't work. If you say "yes" you are probably an arrogant jerk and if you say "no" you are probably fishing. Where is the option for most of us? "I'm OK". Because I bet that would have won the poll by a landslide. It's called average for a reason.

I've been thinking the same thing for some time... some of those are wavering between narcissism and attention-seeking, and the insecure who need cheering up by faceless strangers on the web.

If it's just a thread for posting your pic and getting feedback, then we already have a long-established thread for this.

No matter how blessed you are in the looks department, fishing for compliments is a really unattractive habit. Besides, the hottest people here on MacRumors are the ones that write to make us laugh, think and feel.

So, I'm going to close this thread for now. It's redundant and is filled with spammage. Please post your good or not so good-looking pictures in the MacRumors pics! (part 2) thread, thanks.
