Might be seeing improved battery on my 11pro, and still question if this was all by design to push me to upgrade last month?

Still cannot auto connect to my provider’s free wifi. Must manually do it. HIGHLY annoying, and all other wifi works fine. Broke from 16.0. Phone tested ok by Apple authorized service. SK Telecom blames the phone. Samsung phone with same sim is fine.

Nah, battery life sucked on my brand new 14 pro until I updated to 16.1. It was horrific on 16.02. Got a bit better on 16.03, but on 16.1 I feel like it's where it's supposed to be.

I went with “not sure”. It’s a helluva lot better than 16.0.x, but nowhere near as stable as 14.8 was on my Xs. Never really used 15 so I’m not sure how stable that was by the end. I’m on a 14 pro BTW. Seems like they still have plenty of things to fix with random unresponsiveness, glitchy animations, battery life, and some faceID unreliability. My phone will ask multiple times per day for me to enter passcode to enable faceid. Not sure why, because nobody is locking it out, it’s not restarting, and it’s literally just sitting on my desk next to me. Strange. Again, never was an issue with 14.8 on Xs so could be 14P related.

Yeah it's ok. Battery percentage, lockscreen widgets. I haven't noticed anything else.

I just wish that the long press to customise the lock screen could be disabled somehow (I trigger it all the time), and that I could add more than two widgets.

Feels like a good enough beta to me. A few little bugs like the messages app reloading between uses and the odd complete iPhone lockup mean 16.1 lacks polish on my end.

This is quite standard these days with new .0/.1 iOS updates though. Usually takes till about February for a new iOS to be battle hardened. Roll on more bug fixes I guess.

iPhone 11Pro is quite good. For sure battery has improved and UI is way more fluid (15.7 style).

No new major bugs found except the one iphone-wide with AirPods connection making phone screen unresponsive to touch and buttons when taken from a trouser pocket just after AirPods were put in ears.

Quick appendix to my statement:
first time since iOS 13 my iPhone 11 Pro lost 0% battery during 7,5h night in low power mode

Horrible battery on my iPhone 13 Mini with this update, with screen on time slashed in half. Interestingly enough there was zero percent drop during this last night, but as soon as I started using the phone percentages dropped like crazy.

Also if you feel like expanding upon your opinion in a post please state which iPhone you’re referring to, so conversation can be a little more nuanced

Purposefully left out “haven’t upgraded yet” as an option too - only want people’s opinion based on some experience

Improved battery life and overall performance.

iPhone 13 Pro 256GB with a fresh install of iOS 16 upon release in September.

iPhone 14 PM - Installed from backup on Mac. Smoother, faster better battery life. I'm happy!

13 mini, battery life sucks. On iOS 15 I could easily get 1,5 day battery life, more I have to charge it during a day…

Nope regarding the battery drain.
I have brand new (2 weeks) 13pro and I was quite happy with the battery as it was around %70 at the end of the day (I am a very light user) on ios 16.
I updated to 16.1 on the 1st day of the publishment and after that battery was awful. It was around %20 in the middle of the day with 10 to 20 minutes of SOT.
I waited 2 days nothing changed. I erased and made a clean install, nothing changed.
At the end I reverted to 16.0.3 and restored from backup. Now everything is like what it should be.
Definitely there is a problem with 16.1

It seems OK so far, but why is the time on the lock screen so huge? From what I've read, it can't be changed. What kind of usability is that? I'd really like to make it a lot smaller.

iPhone 11 Pro; updated to 16.1 the other day and in general it's fine. But I really don't like the way notifications appear at the bottom of the lock screen now. Why change what was perfectly fine as it was before? And would it really be that difficult to give us option for them to appear where they did before? I feel Apple change things just for the sake of it sometimes.

The worst battery life ever. On my iPhone 13 Pro and also on my wife iPhone 12.
Switching focus modes with Apple Shortcuts is buggy (can’t be switched and when so, AW always on display wont turn off when sleep mode). I’m very disapointed with this update.
