opinions vary on this but my personal favorite is DeviantArt.others include, WeLoveIcons, MacThemes, even just typing into google the name of the app you want and icons ie "safari icons" and clicking the image search works well.

Candybar is still good.. if you wanna skip that and do it manually, it's not hard. Icon formatting is easiest with (if the download isn't right to begin with)

candybar is great but there is a free app out there called LiteIcon. its not as good but again its free. but i change mine manually. you can do anything manually that Candybar can do so i've never seen the point in paying for it.
I can do them all manually minus finder. is there a trick to this one?
I am still on a trial of Candybar and just downloaded liteicon (not bad at all for a freebee..thanks) They are nice to have just in case.. but the only absolute NEED I have found for them is changing finder.

Well I never was before (I'd never changed my ibook's icons at all! ) but because of this thread, I've just spent the last hour changing my icons I chose the Flurry icons posted further up in the thread.

Yup and I recently upgraded them all too, but they're all on MacThemes I think so I won't bother posting screenshots (plus I'm on the iPhone at the moment anyway).

the location of the actual finder app is in, System>Library>Coreservices then just right click on the finder app ect ect.
