I do plan to keep my watch and totally understand that it is a first gen product. They will only get better from here.
Here is why I'm keeping mine.
For the first time in my life I've purchased a product that makes me think about health and fitness. It Makes me want to achieve certain goals, allows me to keep an eye on my heart rate. While at the same time has a certain sexiness to it. I could have bought a fit bit or one of the many others but they didn't appeal to me. What I think is funny, is how all of the videos about the features on an apple watch have been out for a long time and yet everybody expected more. I really like mine for what it is and what it may be. Remember a lot of big name developers haven't finished with their intrduction to the watch software yet. I expect google to even do some amazing things on the apple watch eventually. There are certain limits to what it will be able to handle and maybe certain features that had to be kept out of this rendition but maybe they will be included in the next version or software update. It isn't revolutionary rather evolutionary. The watch may be part of a much bigger picture in the future. Btw, I know I can do it on the phone but I really love apple pay on the watch. Especially yesterday when I went to get milk and left my phone and wallet at home.
