Are you suppose to push your disk in that far?

I'm completely new to macs. So knew, that I had no clue my macbooks drive was similar to that of a car radio.
But, it seems my disk goes in pretty far before my mac sucks it in, and makes a loud sound.

Is that normal?

Yes, completely normal! The first time I heard that sound I thought the drive had eaten the disc.
