iPad 3.
iOS 6 was fine, iOS 7. Not so much. Sometimes lags so much that it skips the animation, like entering the app switcher.
iPhone 4S lost fluidity, but to bad.
You know why I am hoping this isn;t true? because the floods od Android trolls saying the next gen iPhone is just last gen with a bigger screen will need to be sifted through and thrown away. Ugh...
Honestly, performance increase (except additional ram) was at the bottom of my list of what I was hoping for.

Yeah, sometimes a new OS introduces some minor quirks, but "dramatic"? It was still useable. IMO.
Reinstall from scratch to iOS 7. For some reason, if you upgrade instead of a fresh install, the iPad 3 hates it. My iPad NEVER lags anymore since I did that.![]()
Agreed. I don't really see that many apps taking advantage of the A7. Only iOS seems to favor it. I was more excited about the 50% less power draw than the "2X the CPU performance of the previous generation," though I will admit...I had grown accustomed to it.
I did that, but I'm going to do it again with iOS 8 since I decided to keep it another year. It really does make a difference.
Grown accustomed to what? Your battery dying? If so, me too lol. I have cables I'm every drawer where I tend to be stationary for any length of time and a battery backup with USB ports just in case haha.
Do you upgrade your old phones when new iOS comes out?
