I use my iPhone's alarm clock to wake up on weekdays. Twice now, it has failed to go off in the past week or two. When I look at it, it's "Off," but I haven't turned it off. In fact the only time I ever launched the clock app was to set up this alarm, except when I've had to turn it back "On."

Of all the bugs, this one really bothers me. I just deleted the alarm and made a new one. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again.

Keep us updated. If this is an issue, add it to the list. Poor Apple.

I use my alarm every day have two set 3.00am and 3.05. Both never fail to go off!

Wow. If this is true this is a problem. I use my iPhone alarm clock as a backup to my regular alarm!

I have used my phone as my alarm since the first generation and all software updates. None of the phones or software have ever "turned to off"without me doing it.

Same for me. This a first. I'm hoping it was just something wrong with the alarm I originally set up and the new alarm will be all right.

no bueno! my iphone is the only alarm clock i use for waking up each/every day! keep us updated and if there is a problem, please follow the appropriate proceedure in reporting it to apple.

I got the same alarm set up since I got my first iPhone, every weekday at 5:45, never failed.

maybe someone is messing with you, Wife?, Girlfriend, brother maybe?

put a passcode on you phone if you don;t have it already.

Not a problem. My wife wouldn't do that and I've been the only person in the house for the past week.

So far, I haven't had a problem with the alarm clock.

I wonder if you just turned it off and don't remember doing it. Maybe you should put your phone someplace where you have to get out of bet to turn it off. Hope you figure it out OP.

I have also had no issues. My 3G gets me up every weekday at 4:25, as 'programmed'.

The only time it doesn't is when I hit 'snooze' and then turn it off after I decide to finally get up, but before the snooze alarm goes off.

It is at this point that I sometimes forget to go back in before bed and turn the alarm back on.

My missed alarms have ALWAYS been my fault.

My alarm works perfectly. It's never failed to go off, provided I remember to turn it on. I've been using mine as an alarm clock for the past year (3G and now iP4).

My 3G has experienced this same issue, on the 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 software updates. It's rare for me, but it happens.

I infrequently launch the app, but I have roughly 7 alarms.

2 for Mon-Thurs (alarm and backup)
2 for Fri (alarm and backup)
1 as a weekly reminder to do something for work
1 as a weekend alarm
1 more for general reminders

I find the alarms set to either MON-FRI or MON-THURS are the ones that sometimes shut off on me. I always check that they are on when I'm setting general reminders for myself. It's so strange that they shut off. At first I thought it was me accidentally turning them off, but it is not.

I'm using a 3GS w/ iOS 4. Have been using it as my sole alarm with no problems so far. Hopefully this isn't an issue, because I typically rely on my phone as my only alarm (have used my Blackberry as my alarm clock for the past 3 years until getting the 3GS!).

Well, since the overwhelming majority hasn't had an issue, I'd say that you are probably OK.

Although, if you absolutely cannot oversleep...having only one alarm clock is really dangerous.

True. I'll probably start setting a second, just to be on the safe side. LOL, in college I was always so worried about oversleeping for an exam. I'd be like, 'Dad, can you call me at _____ to make sure I'm up???' even though I'd set multiple alarms. :p

i thought i had the same problem but i did not have the event on repeat. may be delete the alarm and re-add it and then make sure it is on repeat on weekdays.

ps: 3 am is too early, may be Iphone is just being nice to you. :D

I use my iPhone 4 everyday and so far its been perfect. Might I suggest a settings problem possibly? Maybe delete the alarm and recreate it. Then ensure its set to ON.

Wow! I'm so glad somebody said something because I've had it happen a couple times. The message on the display appears but it doesn't buzz or go off with the ring tone. I do think this is a bug. It started happening on my 16 gb white 3GS with iOS4
