I just updated to the latest iPhone firmware that I've been postponing for a while. It backed up my phone before the upgrade. It then had an error after installing and couldn't do the restore that it just backed up.

I then tried to just manually restore it, but it kept asking me for a password to access the restore (although I didn't set it to have one).

Then I tried going farther back, but noticed that iTunes deleted all my old backups, too.

Is there any way to fix this? I've been running my iPhone on my Windows laptop for the past 6 months. Never had a problem like this on my old Mac. I just lost about a year's worth of iPhone camera roll pics, texts, and notes... Damnit!
